Dr. Jonathan Davis is an optometrist in Decatur, AL, providing complete eye care services for the surrounding communities.
Background
Dr. Davis graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s School of Optometry in. Dr. Davis’ special interests are primary eye care, ocular disease, contact lenses, and working with children. Dr. Davis’s community involvement includes the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, and church membership. He has a wife, Megan, and one son, John Grady. Dr. Davis is active in the American Optometric Association and the Alabama Optometric Association.
As a licensed optometrist, Dr. Davis provides exams, diagnosis, and treatments of all disorders that affect the eye or vision. In addition to training in eye diseases and disorders, Dr. Davis is also trained in anatomy, biochemistry, and physiology. With this background, Dr. Davis is trained to recognize a range of health issues; such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes and hypertension. Dr. Davis works hard to stay current on the latest advances in eye health and vision care and regularly attends continuing education seminars and advanced training courses. It is because of Dr. Davis's dedication to continuing education that our patients receive the most modern and progressive vision care available.
Dr. Jonathan Davis purchased the existing practice of Dr. Terry Reynolds in 2018. Dr. Reynolds took over the practice of Dr. Mike Edwards in 1979 after graduating from UAB Optometry School. Dr. Reynolds retired from practice in 2018 after 39 years of providing eye health and vision care to the Decatur community. The practice has remained in the same location for over 35 years.
